CoMusic
CoMusic is a platform that enables musicians to co-create tracks, connecting like-minded artists across locations and networks. Built on blockchain technology, it supports the creation and trading of music NFTs—digital assets that represent ownership of musical pieces. This ensures that all collaborators are accurately credited and fairly compensated. The transparent tracking of ownership and royalties guarantees that artists receive their rightful earnings. Beyond transforming how musicians and producers work together, CoMusic also opens up new ways for fans to discover exclusive content and support their favourite artists.
When I joined the team, CoMusic already had a functional prototype. My role began with stepping back to better understand the user landscape—identifying both expectations and resistance points that could hinder adoption. After all, no matter how groundbreaking the technology, it must meet real user needs to succeed.
My user research plan includes recruiting potential users—musicians, producers, and designers—and conducting a discovery phase with semi-structured interviews and focus group sessions. These insights will inform the creation of user journeys and define the Jobs to Be Done (JTBD), which will guide the upcoming co-design workshop.
During the ideation phase, I will facilitate a co-design workshop using methods such as affinity mapping and card sorting to support users in shaping the platform’s navigation structure based on emerging design priorities. The proposed solution will be validated through concept testing with users. Once development is complete, usability testing will ensure the platform is intuitive and user-friendly before launch.
Stay tuned for more updates as the project evolves.
